My name is Suzanne Longhurst and I have always been interested in the art of pottery but never had the opportunity to actually do anything about it. Then when my husband and I moved to France in 2005 I became friends with a neighbour who had a pottery and invited me to have a go, as soon as I sat behind a pottery wheel and started to work the clay, I was immediately smitten and realised that this was something that I wanted to do and that I loved doing.
When we moved to St Bonnet in 2012, there was an old dairy/bread oven and pig sty which had been used for storing years worth of rubbish. This provided the perfect opportunity for me to have my own Pottery workshop and we set about transforming the building into the lovely little place I have today.
Over the years I have learned a lot, I have made many mistakes and produced some total disasters, but still loved every minute of it. I like to think that now I can at least turn out some nice looking pieces of pottery.
I hope you enjoy your visit to my website, if I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you. Suzanne Longhurst
